Here's a little bit about us.
Striking Eagles Soccer is part of the Hazy Hills Soccer Corporation (HHSC). HHSC is a not-for-profit corporation. The purpose, of this corporation, is to provide quality tournament, playing, practice, and learning facilities for the soccer playing youth of rural New York State. Hazy Hills (HHSC) teams are affiliated with the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA), and through them, the United States Youth Soccer Association (USYSA) and ultimately Federation De Internationale de Football Association (FIFA).
We have established competitive indoor and outdoor travel teams. These teams are known as "The Striking Eagles". Qualified coaches coach all our teams. We have attracted players from all areas of Otsego, Chenango, and Delaware Counties. Many of these players have not had the opportunity to participate in "competitive club soccer" before. Most competitive soccer, in the United States, seems to be limited to children of upper/middle class parents from more urban areas. This is particularly true at the upper levels of the sport. We believe ALL youth should have the same opportunity, regardless of economic circumstances or geographic location. The corporation is looking for land in the Otsego, Delaware, or Chenango county NY area. When this land is available, we plan to have several full sized and smaller soccer fields. We want to make this a multi-purpose facility and would like to build facilities for other youth sports and events. To make all this possible, we will actively be applying for grants, sponsorships, and donations from corporations and individuals. We hope to have tournaments, soccer camps, coaching clinics, goalie clinic/camps, and much more. All money, that is raised, will be used to benefit the youth of this area. We want to become a self-sufficient organization.Obviously this all costs money. We do charge each player a fee. (We will not allow a child that wants to play to be denied the right to play because of economic circumstance.) Unfortunately, that fee does not begin to cover the cost of playing in the league, insurance, player registrations, uniforms, referee fees, tournament entry fees, field marking, goals, attorney fees, etc. Each team has done some individual fund raising. Money is our biggest problem right now. We need some major corporate or individual supporters. We also need property that is appropriate for our needs. Donations of cash, land, or services will be gratefully accepted.We also need to thank the sponsors that have already donated.
